It Starts With A Spark

Oh joy! What an honor to have Misty Phillip writing for us today about a NEW conference – one she is starting. As she says, “It starts with a spark!” I agree-a spark of inspiration.

Spark Christian Podcast Conference

Sometimes our prayers seem to go unanswered. I have prayed about somethings literally for years. But other time we get instant answers to our prayers. When God answers prayers and open doors watch out and be ready to move!

Recently, I began praying and asking God for wisdom and clarity about where my talents and passions aligned, and how I could best serve Him in this season of my life. His answer came almost instantaneously after praying, and it took me by complete surprise!

When I first started podcasting I had no idea where to begin. I looked for a Christian podcast conference and couldn’t find one. I wanted to attend a podcasting conference, but the ones I found were expensive and even though Christianity is the largest and fastest growing podcast category, very few workshops or events are offered for Christian Podcasters.

Now, I have never been to a podcast conference and I am relatively new to podcasting, but I knew without a doubt the Lord was calling me into a new adventure. One that would require me to step out in courage and bold faith, and be brave.

Hence, Spark Christian Podcast Conference was born.

Spark Christian Podcast Conference change the world

Immediately, I began planning the conference. Everything began to flow. I started by writing down the vision. Then came the conference name, the venue, speakers, tagline, and even a hashtag. It all just flowed. Within two weeks, I had a Kickstarter campaign to fund the conference, a full schedule of speakers, a website and a months worth of shareable graphics.

How you can help?

  1. Pray! Please pray for the kickstarter campaign, the conference, the attendees, and the team.
  2. Share the kickstarter campaign with your network. Time is running out to raise the $5500, and if it is not fully funded we don’t get the money, and the conference won’t fund. Kickstarter is an all or nothing campaign. The $5,500 goal only covers a fraction of the cost, but we know if we can cover the facility cost everything else will work out. You can find the conference by searching spark Christian podcast conference on kickstarter or by going to here. http://bit.ly/2oPlhT9
  3. You can sponsor, donate, or sign up for the absolute lowest ticket price that will be offered. Through the kick starter campaign you get the absolute lowest price available of $99 but there are only a limited number of tickets at that price and they are going fast!

Please help spread the word and make the Spark Christian Podcast Conference a reality!

Much Love, Misty Phillip
