What's This?

Word.  YOUR Word, O LORD…

Word = combination of letters communicating an understood meaning: special revelation from God

Deuteronomy 8:3  He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 11:18  Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

Psalm 119:11

I have hidden your word in my heart

that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp for my feet,

a light on my path.

Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety weighs down the heart,

but a kind word cheers it up.

Proverbs 16:24

Gracious words are a honeycomb,

sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Isaiah 55:10-11

10 As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Jeremiah 23:29  “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

Matthew 4:4  Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

Matthew 12:36  But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

Matthew 24:35  Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

John 1:1-2  1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 He was with God in the beginning.

John 6:68  Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

John 17:17  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

Acts 6:3-4  Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

Ephesians 6:17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Philippians 2:14-16  14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Colossians 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

2 Timothy 2:15  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Hebrews 4:12-14  12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

James 1:22  Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

2 Peter 1:19-21  19 We also have the prophetic word as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 22:19  And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this book.

Revelation 22:20  He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.

Thank You, O LORD, for Your Word.  You breathed a Word and created ALL, EVERYTHING we know, Father God.  We praise You, Your Name and Your Holy Word, Lord God.

WE (each one of us) will have to give account for EVERY empty, idle word WE (each one of us) speak

Anyone who takes any words away from this book God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City

Your word shows us in RED LETTERS that Jesus spoke these words,

“Yes, I am coming soon.”

O Your Word, Lord!

Do what it says…

And LIVE

ETERNALLY.

In Jesus name.  Amen
