What's This?

The sounds of a symphony crest as ooooohs and aaaaahs fill the air. The lake stirs as a gentle breeze caresses the surface, crenellating the water before you.

You witness the wind coming towards you as the instruments of the earth rosin their bows and bow before the Lord…

God sends His angels like the winds and His servants like flames of fire – with a message just for you. Want to hear? 3 Scripture lead us to hear His glory. Join us.

The breeze gusts and rustles the leaves on the stately old trees at the Fish Camp.

You listen to the wind…

The pines nimbly whisper oooooh as their needles nudge each other while the oaks clap their leaves in admiration. The oaks sing and the ashes sigh. Splendid, like an aria.

The winds are your messengers;
flames of fire are your servants.[a] Psalm 104:4 (NLT)

The [a] footnote is intriguing, so I’m sharing it here with you.
Footnotes:
104:4 Greek version reads He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.

Or do we miss Your message? Or is it just me?

15 For the hearts of these people are hardened,
and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
so their eyes cannot see,
and their ears cannot hear,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and let me heal them.’
Matthew 13:15 (NLT)

I never thought about God sending His angels like the wind. Literally. I pray I have eyes to see, ears to hear and not a hardened heart, so I can turn to God and be healed…You too?

Back to the Fish Camp. Butterflies dance in delight. First one on the scene followed by another. Magnificent pirouettes ensue as one leads then the other, crescendoing as the two spiral higher and higher.

A puff of wind sends them on their way…oooooh, the butterflies re-enter stage left as the mighty oaks clap once more.

May I share the fish are jumping with joy, hummingbirds buzz past so fast I almost drop, yelling “incoming!” – until I realize it’s a tiny little bird buzzing me, dropping me to my knees?

And the bees fill the holly trees, honey bees, bumble bees, all sorts of bees buzz. And the fragrance. Heavenly!

Oh! That white-faced bumblebee stops in mid-air, hanging as if he is staring straight at me.  Wonder what he sees? These are the drones without stingers – did you know? Catch one for the kiddos – it tickles little (and big!) hands.

Just be sure it’s a white-faced bumblebee you attempt to catch bare handed. Leave those black-faced bumbles alone. Their stingers do what God designed them to do…

What else do I see and hear?

Red cardinals calling
Blue jays jabbering
Dogs barking
Boats on the lake
And a friend driving up.

Tata! Gotta get my visitor settled into their seat for the symphony. Join me! I’d love to see you at The Fish Camp.

So may I ask, do you have your center stage, front row seats to the symphony reserved yet? It’s your symphony! God sends His angels like the winds and His servants like flames of fire – with a message just for you and me.

What delight God surrounds us with. Even the trees sing His glory. Listen. You get to hear their joy and delight with their Creator.

God sends His angels like the winds and His servants like flames of fire – with a message just for you. Want to hear? 3 Scripture lead us to hear His glory. Join us.

Plan a time and place to simply listen – then list all you hear – in reverence and awe of our mighty God. Consider the park, a nature trail, beside a lake, up the mountain, down in a valley, by the river or your backyard – or balcony! – and simply listen.

Expect your front row ticket to be specifically tailored for you. It will be spectacular – for His whole creation will praise Him!

1 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.

22  Praise the Lord, everything he has created,
everything in all his kingdom.
Let all that I am praise the Lord.
Psalm 103:1-2; 22 (NLT)

Let all that I am praise the Lord!

I like “free” front row seats to the symphony of LIFE. You too?

  1. Hi Susan, there is nothing better than the sounds out in nature, such a great way to connect with God!

    Thank you for your message.
    Blessings, Karren

  2. Oh, so lovely! I love concerts and this one is the best!!! I am walking to my front row seat, Susan. Thank you for inviting me over!! : )

God is worthy to be praised.

  3. Susan, what a beautiful post. I want eyes to see, and ears to hear too. As I sit here at my desk, with the window open (b/c that’s what one does in this season of life…open windows, close windows…hot, cold, hot, cold 🙂 ) I hear birds calling, and birds replying. I hear crickets, or cicadas, or some other such bug. I see the morning breeze as it gently rests on spring green leaves. My front row seat to His glory is a place of restoration, this morning. Thank you for the reminder to take notice. ((grace upon grace))

  4. I love this Susan! It always amazes me how God confirms things through others. This is the 3rd post I’ve read on being quiet to listen in 2 days. I think God is speaking! 😄 Thanks for yet another confirmation to listen. Have a great weekend!

  5. How beautiful! I would definitely enjoy a place like that! It is hard to deny the presence of God with us when there is music in nature! Blessings!!

  6. I love finding a peaceful place and listening to the sounds of nature. That’s when I feel closest to God. You are right Susan. It’s as if His creating is calling out praises to Him. How wonderful! Blessings, friend.

    1. Yes, it is as if His creation is calling out His praises! I can literally SEE the leaves clapping… Hugs, my precious friend. Susan
