Prayers Needed – A Satan Worshipper is Coming

Can you imagine hearing those words? A Satan worshipper is coming…

Yet it happened today as I entered the hair salon.

Can you imagine hearing those words? A Satan worshipper is coming... Yet it happened today as I entered the hair salon. Was this a first? Yes indeed. Was I surprised? Yes indeed. Was I unprepared? No. For Christ in me equips me - and you - to pray effective prayers even in the face of individuals who worship the enemy.

Was this a first? Yes indeed.

Was I surprised? Yes indeed.

Was I unprepared? No.

Would you be?

For Christ in me equips me – and you – to pray effective prayers even in the face of individuals who worship the enemy of our soul.

And it reminds me how close evil is. Every.moment.of.the.day.and.everywhere.we.go. We are warned that the world is full of evil, yet we tend to ignore it, until it confronts us face to face.

Let this sound a clarion call for us. There is a war in the heavenly realm and it is real. We are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses – as well as an army of foul fiends.

How convenient it is to forget about this battle for it is unseen, yet it is so very real.

This woman spoke curses over the life of another who simply disagreed with her. Her comment was this, “Don’t be surprised if she is in a car wreck tonight.”

Makes me wonder what words are being spoken over my life and loved ones without my awareness.

Our job is to break every evil word, thought and deed directed at us in the name of Jesus, even the ones we don’t know about. We are bought, saved and covered by the precious – and priceless – Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He died to save you and me. Yet we must take action and speak life to deflect the fiery darts and flaming arrows of the enemy.

Have you ever thought about who is speaking over you, your spouse, and your children or what is being said?

Are they speaking life – or death?

Are you waging a war or walking away in hopes it will fade away if you disregard it long enough?

I did not plan to post about Don’t Go Through Life Naked: How to Clothe Yourself in God’s Power, yet we are instructed to put on the full armor of God to step into His power and His promises. So this book is a powerful resource for us to step into the shelter of God’s Word each day.

(Oh, by the way, Don’t Go Through Life Naked: How to Clothe Yourself in God’s Power  just won the 2018 eLit Book Award Gold Medal in Religion from the Jenkins Group. Jerry Jenkins of the Left Behind Series and 21 times New York Times Bestselling author – yea, that Jenkins – his group’s book awards. )

We MUST be equipped to wage war in the heavenlies. Here’s the deal you need to remember – we are equipped to WIN because Jesus already won the battle. Victory is ours. The Bible says, who can be against if God is for us?

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8: 31, 37-38 (NIV)

So when evil stares us in the face, speak to it, for it is written, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” in James 4:7. YOU command the situation by submitting and speaking – and the enemy will flee – Glory to God!

The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. Lifting the Sword of the Spirit is done by speaking the very Word of God in your situations and into and over your life, just as Jesus did in the wilderness when Satan tempted and taunted Him.

So speak truth in love in all situations.

Here’s the truth. Jesus stood up to the enemy and spoke Scripture and the enemy fled. Jesus is in you and me, so we too can stand firm, speak scripture to the enemy and he will flee from us.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
Romans 16:20 (NIV)
