Life by the Spirit

13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Ephesians 1:4-6 (NIV) For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

James 1:25 (NIV) 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

1 Peter 2:16 (RSV)16 Live as free men, yet without using your freedom as a pretext for evil; but live as servants of God.

Revelation 1:4-6 (NIV) Greetings and Doxology

John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Oh, LORD, to be set FREE from:

Wickedness, oppression, hunger, distress, unrighteous, frustration, bondage, decay, trouble, evil

The LORD answers and sets us FREE:

To serve Him, sets prisoners free, freely pardons, food to the hungry, freely we receive, freely give, we become servants to righteousness, sight to the blind, glory in the children of God, to serve one another humbly in love, glorious grace, blessed, grace and peace, from our sins by His blood

To God be the glory and power.  In Jesus name.  Amen

Is freedom free?

Who do we serve?

HOW do we serve?

At what cost?
