Build Up. O LORD!

Build up = To develop or increase in stages or by degrees; To accumulate or collect; To bolster; To fill up (an area) with buildings.

Genesis 35:3 (NIV) Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone.”

1 Chronicles 21:18 (NIV) [ David Builds an Altar ] Then the angel of the Lord ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

2 Chronicles 14:7 (NIV) “Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah, “and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Psalm 28:5 (NIV) Because they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.

Thank You, O Mighty Father God.  Your magnificent Word says BUILD UP ourselves, each other, the church.  You, Father God:

Answered me

Been with me

Your angel ordered … David

Given us rest

Prospered

Those with no regard for Your ways, You will tear down and never rebuild

My people

Remove obstacles

Raise a banner

Woe to the unrighteous, who builds with injustice

Rebuild

Dance with the joyful

I have relented from the disaster I intended to inflict on you

Who will stand before Me in the gap?  I found no one…

Build My house, for My pleasure and honor Me

Grace

Inheritance

Sanctified

Please our neighbors for their good

Excel in building up the church with the gifts of the Spirit

Love builds us up

Let no unwholesome talk come from your mouths; benefit others

You died, that we may live–with You

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Eternal life.  Build us up, O LORD, that we may live with you … eternally.
