God Is Bigger

We are honored to have Cindy Chandler Pye write for us today for the Dance With Jesus Birthday Beach Bash and Blog Tour.  Oh, by the way, we graduated from the same high school in North Louisiana ~ a “few” years apart!

God Is Bigger

God is bigger

Let me start this post off with a quote from a great book I just read.

“Because You, Father, are BIGGER than anything I shall encounter on earth.”

The name of this book is “Dance With Jesus: From Grief to Grace” by Susan Burfoot Mead.

It was a joy to find this book and to find it was written by someone who went to the same high school I did. I remember she was years older than me, but I knew of her and knew of her character. She was a sweet and good person. Looking back I am not surprised to find that she is a fellow born again Christian. Jesus is her personal Lord and Savior also, so that makes us sisters is Jesus! This book tells of her walk of life, and how she got through “from grief to Grace” with Jesus guiding her and healing her all the way.

Have you gone through some horrible grief in life? Have you been through it more than once? Are you still grappling with grief trying to get your head above those murky waters? I have been there several times, and so has Susan B. Mead. She shares very honestly about the pits of despair, and how God reached to lift her up every time. He sustained her through the Bible which is His Word, prayer, and showing her His light along the way.

Her sister, Bette, died in her prime very unexpectedly. Her beloved brother-in-law passed away, then when her healthy, full of life son also died unexpectedly, it rocked her world. Where did they go? Were they alright? Well, God showed her, and gave her that peace that passes our human understanding, and filled her with strength, healing, and joy running over.

He is the perfect and the only true source of those things. He loves each of us and waits for us to come to Him, sometimes wooing us patiently for a long time.

I encourage you to read “Dance With Jesus” more than once. I believe it will help you find comfort. Maybe it has been long enough that you have processed through your grief. I still recommend that it is a good book for you to purchase for someone else you know who is going through the grieving process.

I pray above all that you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. If you do not, I invite you to just ask Him to forgive you and live in your heart to be your Lord and Savior. I am not a chaplain, as Susan B. Mead is. She is a good person to talk to about Jesus, and I know she would love to talk to you about Him. Either way, Jesus will fill you and take your hand and never let it go.

May God richly bless each and every one of you.
