Have you ever had one of those moments in your life where you KNEW God was with you, had set up a divine appointment or was directing your next step(s) and you needed story time to tell everyone?
So do tell. I want to hear about it. News flash – so do others!
What have we learned about telling our story? By the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony, we overcome, just like it says in Revelation.
11 They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony
Revelation 12:11a(NIV)
Do you want to be an overcomer? Me too.
For the remainder of 2016, each Friday on the Dance With Jesus Linkup, one person will be in the spotlight sharing their story.
Can you imagine reading words that confirm Divinity still touches humanity every day, in so many beautiful ways? Does this thrill you to have the opportunity to share? It’s deeply moving to consider how the Spirit is stirring in me to hear your story. Why? To cheer you on and to share with others who need to hear your story.
So tell us:
- What giant did you face and how did you slay him – or is it a work in progress?
- Paint a picture with your words of when you were thrown into the lion’s den or the fiery furnace and walked out OK, with the king asking, “Was your God able…”?
- Share how the Red Sea parted for you to walk on dry land into your destiny, even with the enemy hot on your tail.
- Tell us how the sun stood still for a battle to be waged with you as the victor.
- Describe how you danced in delight before the Lord – completely carefree like King David. Ok, not naked…
You get the idea.
Don’t feel like your story measures up to those in the Bible? Think again! We each have our own moments where God guides us, lovingly pulling us in, out, over, under or through a situation – that’s unique to us. So you’re here for such a time as this, like Queen Esther was many, many years ago.
[Tweet “Your story matters. Not just to you, but to each one of us. So share.”]Leave a message in the comments below to indicate you want to share your story. We’ll get a date scheduled and the details to you.
If you don’t want to share a story, may I ask a question? Do you want to read everyone else’s story? Imagine the look on our faces as we laugh out loud, cry, cheer and champion you on to victory! Why? Because we care. Deeply.
Settle the littles ones in for a nap, tuck the kiddos into bed, snuggle in with your journal and a good book (yea, that big old Bible is a great one to dig into) and let your magnificent words pour onto the pages. As Ted Dekker says, bleed all over the pages, your readers will love you.
[Tweet ” Share your bloody mess. Let the Messiah bless it to craft a message. “]His blood does that for us, doesn’t it?

Hi,
Thank you for bringing your post to the Bloggers Pit Stop Linky Party.
Janice, Pit Stop Crew
Who likes Story Time? We d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions to make Farnham Library s upcoming events unmissable!
I’ll have to think about this challenge, Susan. Sounds like a great idea and I’m sure it will be so inspiring to read all of these stories of God’s redemption and refinement in other’s lives. Thanks so much for the linkup, my friend!
Thanks for the wonderful linkup. I am linking up with you too on Wednesday. 🙂 I can’t wait to see who you feature each week.
God’s been very busy, I’d love to share a moment he walked me through a tough situation. I have a couple ideas in mind, I’ll have to prayerfully consider which one.
Susan,
I love this idea! It will bless and heal so many to read these powerful stories! I look forward to reading them and maybe even sharing at some point!! 🙂
Blessings and smiles,
Lori
Hi Susan, what a beautiful idea. I love hearing the stories of others and how God has changed them. I would love to be a part of this process. Thank you for hosting and sharing your heart with friends. I look forward to seeing you again next week at Sitting Among Friends. Have a great week.
So funny you would write about this when my last line on my post scheduled for today was this, “We need your stories! It gives us all hope.”
We all need to know we are not alone. I think your idea of sharing stories is great!
I love testimony service!
This is great, Susan! Thank you for the connection!
Oooh, great idea. Can’t wait to read the stories that are shared. I’ll have to pray on a story that I could share, but I’d love to share with you. Grown-up story time, here we come. 😀 ((hug))
I would love to be included in story time!! This is such a wonderful idea!
Susan, what a lovely idea. I look forward to reading the stories! I’ll pray about what I could share, but what’s coming to mind right now is the story of Angie, a cute 70 year old lady who turned the waiting line in the women’s bathroom into a prayer meeting at church last Sunday. Her testimony really impacted me. She buys used Christian books to give away to people and then witnesses or prays for them. At church. At the grocery store.
I’d love to be included in this story-telling party!
Also can’t wait to read the stories of others!
This made me smile the whole way while reading it, Susan, because I love it when people encourage others. When we shed light on the good and the great in each other and encourage one another to brag on God because He is good and His love is amazing. I look forward to the Friday Story Time here. Great idea!
Blessings,
Dawn
Is there a link up button you would prefer we use or just the hashtags?

What a wonderful opportunity! I am a work in progress, taken a bit deeper into the wilderness in my story. Would love to share it!

I love this idea of sharing our stories with one another. Sharing and hearing stories of God’s power is my favorite!
Thanks Susan and blessings to you,
Patti
Susan, what a wonderful idea! This reminds me of what we would call ‘testimony’ services at church, when someone would stand and share what God did in his life. What an encouragement that is to others! Can’t wait to read some of the stories:)
