Mom, are we there yet? MOM! Are we there yet? Dad, are we?
Have you ever wanted to silence those insistent little voices during a family road trip? With so many of us traveling to see family and friends during the holiday season, this question is likely to be heard.
Do you recall the first time you asked, “Are we there yet?”
I do. Four kiddos ages 9, 7, 5 and 1 were packed into the robin’s egg blue station wagon with Mom and Dad commandeering the front seats.
Over the hills and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go-yep, before Interstate highways connected the entire USA. We departed from East Texas destined for Charlottesville, Virginia. About Edgewood, TX, eleven miles, yep 11 miles from where we left, I innocently asked that question, “Are we there yet?”
“Oh, Charley, it’s gonna be a long drive,” Mom told Dad. And I remember it many, many, many (!) years later like I heard it yesterday.
Do you want a plan to help set aside the “are we there yet” questions this Christmas season? Then I have a treat for you…
Before I share it, I have a couple more questions. Do you love FREE? And MercyMe? Yea, me too!
Pizza Ranch recently released exclusive bonus tracks on “MercyMe, It’s Christmas,” a Christmas-themed album recorded by band MercyMe.
“We are so excited to debut our new Christmas album, MercyMe, It’s Christmas, with Pizza Ranch” said Bart Millard with MercyMe. “Pizza Ranch is a fantastic restaurant with a great mission to glorify God. It’s the perfect gift to give this Christmas season and the perfect CD to get you in the Christmas spirit.”
This top Christian group has recorded the following songs for Pizza Ranch’s exclusive bonus tracks:
• God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
• Silent Night
• Oh Holy Night
• Joseph’s Lullaby
Can you hear the sounds of MercyMe making merry with God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman?
Me too. Frankly, I want to know about great Christian businesses so I can support them. You too?
If you happen to be driving through Wisconsin, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, take a break at one of their locations. It may delay that pesky question – are we there yet – a little longer…
Bart of MercyMe tells you about it
Wish I were close enough to drop by myself. Even though I’m not, you may be – or know someone who is. Share this great MercyMe bonus with them.
Two CDs will be popped in the mail to the winners.
Now that’s a blessing and puts me in the spirit of Christmas! You too?
Thanks Pizza Ranch for providing the CDs for the giveaways. USA addresses only eligible for shipping CDs. The opinions are mine. This is the first time I've shared anything other than a book giveaway. I pray something in this message blesses you.
Comment on when you first said or heard, “Are we there yet?” I’ll randomly pick two winners. Merry Christmas!
