Decide what to be and go be it.
Did that grab your attention? Or take your breath away? I saw this statement – Decide what to be and go be it — today and it absolutely resonated with me…all…day…long…
BE. What do I want to BE? I must decide…then go BE.
Would you like to see what I found while I was digging into some Bible study time late today. Actually, it was the first verse I landed on. Coincidence?
John 1:12 (NIV) But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name….
Believe + Receive = Become
Child(ren) of God!
My husband says coincidence is “God keeping a low profile.” Well, tell me this, do you believe it’s either coincidence or low profile to show me BE a Child of God — before the sun sank below the horizon this evening? Or His Almighty commentary and direction on what to BE? It’s certainly His beautiful Word! (As I typed that, I realized be were the first two letters…) God is so very good and faithful.
Job 22:2-3 (NIV)
2 ”Can a man be of benefit to God?
Can even a wise man benefit him?
3 What pleasure would it give the Almighty if you were righteous?
What would he gain if your ways were blameless?”
Psalm 115:1 (NIV)
Not to us, O LORD, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness.
BE
A child of God
Of benefit to God
Glory–Not to us, but to Your name
DECIDED!
Now, go BE.
In Jesus name. Amen
