Agog

Welcome!

God has been nudging (OK, PUSHING) me to share His word with His people. So here we go.

But first things first.  Who am I to dare to share His word?  Just a woman who loves God.  Simply that.  I love HIM Who loves me.  For Christ lives in me, I am His daughter, His princess, His bride.  And He wants the GLORY for all that He has brought me to…and through!

“…and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” Galatians 2:20b

And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”  2 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  1 John 4:8 (NIV)

So why in the world would the name be Agog4God?

Let’s look at the word agog.  It is an adjective or adverb that means very eager/eagerly or curious/curiously to see or hear something.  Are you eager?  Curious?  Agog also means in awe of.  Hhhhhmmmm.

1)  full of intense interest or excitement; enthusiastic; agape–a parent agog for the latest news from the children away at college

2) showing urgent desire or interest; impatient–all agog to get started on a journey

3)  breathless; in awe; astounded; thunder-struck; with bated breath–agog as his bride slowly walked the aisle towards him

Agog also has one more aspect–as an acronym.  So what did the Lord put on my heart to share?  A G O G, a gathering of girlfriends & guys!  So let’s gather round, precious friends and love our mighty God!

Lord, I am willing, please help me be able.  To share Your Word.  With reverence, in awe of Your glory.  For I am agog for YOU, Lord.  Only the positive aspects of the word agog are embodied to Your glory and honor, Father God.  May this be seen as an ongoing love song written to You, Father, as we start this journey.

May the enthusiastic, spirited, thirsty, vivacious woman You created praise You.  Help me be a devoted, ardent, exuberant, passionate follower of You, Mighty Lord God.  So others see YOU, Lord.  And want to know more, because You leave us agog, in awe, agape, breathlessly awaiting YOU, Lord.

In Jesus name.  Amen
