FLEE! O LORD

Flee = run away from a place or situation of danger; run away from someone or something; escape; pass swiftly away; fly; abscond; get away; shun

Joshua 8:5-7 I and all those with me will advance on the city, and when the men come out against us, as they did before, we will flee from them. They will pursue us until we have lured them away from the city, for they will say, ‘They are running away from us as they did before.’ So when we flee from them, you are to rise up from ambush and take the city. The Lord your God will give it into your hand.

O Lord, You instruct us to FLEE!  And tell us How, Why, Where and from What.  Or what must flee FROM US–because You are in us, O Lord.  Thank You, Father, for your powerful  Word:

God will give it into your hand

His foes flee before him

Can I flee from your presence?

Sorrow and sighing will flee away

Jonah tried to flee –remember the whale God sent?

Flee from idolatry; judge for yourselves what I say

Flee from all this

Praise Your Holy Name!  Your Word tells us the reward for fleeing all this–resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Thank You, God, for You are:

Gracious and compassionate

Slow to anger

Abounding in love

Faithful

Thank You that You, O Lord, will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear.

In Jesus Name.  Amen
